Lewes Heritage Open Days, 13th to 15th September 2024:
Heritage Open Days celebrates England’s architecture and culture by offering free access to properties that are usually closed to the public, or charge for admission.
This year’s event includes free access to 18 different buildings, some with special tours. In addition, 7 different guided walks are to take place in the town with 10 start times to cater for high levels of interest.
Lewes House, at 32 High Street, is the meeting point for most guided walks. It will be open on Saturday and Sunday 10am to 5pm with exhibitions by the Friends of Lewes, and the Lewes History Group, and refreshments in the garden.
26th October 2024 Lewes Basketry Festival ‘Under and Over’
A day dedicated to all things weaving! Have-a-go at our taster sessions or watch the experts at work. There’ll be stalls, demos, street food topped off with a Ceilidh!
